Lindsey Stewart joined the Illinois softball staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August 2021. Stewart joins the staff following coaching stints with several club softball organizations, including Impact Gold and Prolific Fastpitch.

Stewart started in 127 games at the University of Houston ('20), finishing with a .313 career batting average. During her senior campaign in 2020, Stewart compiled a .404 batting average, leading the team and ranking fifth-best in the AAC. As the every day center fielder for the Cougars, Stewart is expected to help bring a newer outfield perspective and experience to the Illini staff.
