Education:
Fitzpatrick earned his bachelor of science in athletic training from The University of New Mexico. He earned his master’s of science in athletic training at the University of Kentucky in the Spring of 2015.

Job Responsibilities:
His primary appointment is providing health care and injury prevention for the Track and Field and Cross Country teams.

Past Experience:
Prior to arriving in Illinois, he worked with the University of Texas at El Paso in the same capacity. Fitzpatrick also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Kentucky, where his responsibilities included working with the UK Healthcare Orthopedic Surgery Group and UK Club Hockey. 

Prior to pursuing his master’s degree, Fitzpatrick served as an intern athletic trainer at the University of Maryland working with their baseball and men’s soccer teams.

During his time at New Mexico, he served as collegiate representative to the New Mexico Athletic Trainers’ Association, and also as an intern at Winter X-Games 14. He is also member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is a certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Personal:
He lives with his wife Amanda and dog Kennedy in Urbana, Illinois.
