  • Secured a ranked win over Boise State's No. 111 Jett Middleton, 6-0, 3-6, 6-3, on Day 1 of the Fighting Illini Invite (Jan. 17)
  • With Jeremy Zhang, was tabbed the Fighting Illini Invite Most Outstanding Doubles Team after going 2-0 in doubles play on Day 1 of the event (Jan. 17)
  • Entered the ITA singles rankings for the first time in his career in the end-of-fall rankings, coming in at No. 30 (Dec. 3)
  • Finished the fall season with an 8-3 singles record and a 2-1 doubles mark
  • Progressed to the singles main draw semifinals at the ITA Midwest Regional (Oct. 11-14)
  • Defeated No. 72 Aristotelis Thanos of Michigan State in three sets (7-5, 3-6, 7-6(4)) in the Round of 16 at the ITA Midwest Regional for his second ranked win of the season (Oct. 13)

  • Was the clinching point when Illinois upset No. 16 UNC, defeating Phillip Jordan, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3, 6-3, on Jan. 27
  • Played in 21 matches in the spring, mostly in singles
  • Competed in 13 fall matches, earning a 9-4 record 

2022-23: Sophomore
