  • Midwest ITA/Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sportsmanship & Leadership Award winner

  • Finished the year ranked 59th nationally in singles
  • Ranked as high as No. 2 nationally in doubles with Ross Guignon
  • 2015 ITA National Indoor Championships doubles runner-up
  • With Ross Guignon, won the JSM Challenger in Champaign, garnering his first professional title
  • At-large selection to the NCAA Doubles Championships
  • Finished 28-10 overall and 19-4 dual record in singles

  • Kopinski/Guignon went 27-12 on the year, which tied for the seventh most in a single season

  • Played No. 1 doubles with Ross Guignon, where the duo went 10-4 in dual matches and earned four victories over Top-50 ranked doubles teams, such as No. 2 Jenkins/Styslinger, No. 12 King/Bernstein and No. 16 Kobelt/Smith
  • Qualified for the NCAA Doubles Championships along with Guignon, where they fell to future champs Jenkins/Styslinger in a tough three-set battle

Freshman - 2011-12

  • Named Player to Watch and Most Improved by his teammates
  • Led the team with 22 doubles wins, including 16 alongside Ross Guignon
  • Posted 25 singles wins, which tied for second most on the team
  • Defeated No. 115 Ille Van Engelen of Ohio State to help the Illini to the Big Ten Tournament title and a 4-3 win over the third-ranked Buckeyes

Juniors/High School

  • Rated a five-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.net
  • Ranked as high as No. 38 nationally
  • Won the Western Michigan Indoor Tournament and placed third at the Midwest Indoor Open in 2010

  • Son of Jan and Zofia Kopinski
  • Twin sister, Melissa, plays on the Illinois women's team, making the tandem the first set of twins to play on both Illini tennis teams in Illinois history
  • Enjoys skiing, cycling and playing hockey
  • Favorite athlete is Jens Voigt because he is a great cyclist, great teammate and never gives up
