CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini return to South Bend, Indiana, this weekend for the Notre Dame Hidden Duals, with four student-athletes set to take part in both singles and doubles play from Oct. 30-Nov. 1.

David Bakonyi, Sasha Colleu, Nicholas Mekhael, and Zach Viiala will represent the Orange and Blue at the three-day event.

Illinois resumes its fall slate after most recently competing at the ITA Midwest Regional Championship from Oct. 16-20 at Ohio State, where Bakonyi progressed to the doubles final. In singles play, Colleu earned a first-round victory before falling to a seeded opponent.

Mekhael will make his fourth appearance of the fall, while Viiala will return to action for the first time since the ITA All-American Championships on Sept. 19.

The Notre Dame Hidden Duals will see teams compete in modified mini duals featuring two doubles matches and four singles contests, with the winner of each dual advancing to the next round.
