- In his doubles debut, he paired with fellow junior Zeke Clark to defeat Purdue's Stephan Koenigsfest and Athell Bennett, 6-1.
- Picked up the Illini's first point of the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win against UCF's Mikhail Sokolovskiy.
- Clinched his first match of the season against Northwestern's Trice Pickens, 6-4, 6-4.
