Chose Illinois because "The University of Illinois offered me the perfect combination of athletics and academics. The men’s distance squad is a young, talented and developing team and Coach Johannigmeier’s middle distance oriented approach suits me well. I was attracted to UIUC’s strong academic reputation, particularly in my chosen field of computer science."
