• Son of Tom and Mindy Green
• Two younger brothers, Matt and Ryan
• Cousin, Ian Thomas, played baseball at VCU and pitched in the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers systems after playing Independent League Baseball
• Plans to go to medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon
• Intends to get a master's degree in recreation, sport, and tourism
• Earned a bachelor's degree in liberal arts at Mercer
• Earned an associates degree of arts from Palm Beach State
• Chose Illinois because, "they have Excellent opportunities in both academics and athletics as well as a coaching staff and team full of great people with the common goals of developing both on and off the field."
