Dad played soccer at Embry Riddle and had an uncle that played hockey for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Has one sister, Kaitlyn.
Chose Illinois because, "I formed great relationships with the coaching staff at Illinois. Visiting the campus for the first time I was amazed by the greenery and beauty of the urban area. The academic and athletic development of the school is what contributed to my choice of Illinois."
