Played with current Illini teammates Parker Burgess and Cameron Chee-Aloy on the 18-U Canadian Junior National Team.
Was also recruited by San Diego, South Carolina Upstate and Hawai'i.

Son of Tarah and Phil Adamson.
Has two brothers, Myles and Ben, and one sister, Georgia.
Chose Illinois because of, "Opportunity to play for a coaching staff led by Dan Hartleb. The staff has extensive experience winning and developing players. Coach [Mark] Allen's background evaluating and developing pitchers and the connection built with Coach [Adam] Christ were big factors. World class facilities was also a big factor and the chance to play in the Big Ten was attractive. Illinois has a highly rated business school and a campus and spirit that I cannot wait to be part of. As well, my coach Chris Robinson is a former All American at Illinois and his advice played a big part."
