- Hobbies include following the Cubs across the country with his family
- Lists his biggest thrills in sports as his 2009 playoff win against St. Charles East and his no-hitter with 14 strikeouts junior year
- Favorite athlete is Cliff Lee because he wants to finish every game he starts
- Earliest baseball memory is attending his first Cubs game with his father when he was three years old
- Was a member of the National Honor Society in high school
- Plans to pursue a career in commercial banking following graduation
- Lists his father as the person who has most influenced his athletic career because when everyone told him he could not achieve his goals, his father never let him give up
