- Lists his biggest thrills in sports as his 2009 playoff win against St. Charles East and his no-hitter with 14 strikeouts junior year
- Favorite athlete is Cliff Lee because he wants to finish every game he starts
- Earliest baseball memory is attending his first Cubs game with his father when he was three years old
- Was a member of the National Honor Society in high school
- Plans to pursue a career in commercial banking following graduation
