Hall of Famer Butkus To Appear at Chicago Homecoming

All-time Illinois and Chicago Bear great Dick Butkus will host a luncheon and be making appearances at the Illini Chicago Homecoming Sept. 12-14 prior to and around the Illinois-Washington football game. The luncheon, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12, from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at Wildfire Chicago, will include a silent auction with proceeds split between the I FUND, Butkus Foundation and I PLAY CLEANTM program. Get there early to enjoy Illini Fest (1:00-4:30 PM), next to Soldier Field on the southeast lawn, featuring live entertainment, facepainting, free snow cones and cotton candy, interactive games and much more (see below for full list), free for the all who attend. There will also be vendors on site selling food and drinks, providing the perfect tailgate experience for all Illinois fans. This event is sponsored by Illinois Foundation, Alumni Association and the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.
