CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Left-handed pitcher Regan Hall has signed with the Baltimore Orioles as an undrafted free agent.
Hall joins multiple former Illini student-athletes who are currently in the Oriole organization, including pitchers Jack Crowder (2021-24) and Joe Glassey (2020-24).
Hall spent three seasons with the Illini, making 45 appearances and 29 starts during that time. Holding a career 6.06 ERA, Hall has tossed 185.2 innings and accumulated 148 strikeouts.
He set a new career-high with 75 strikeouts in 2026 – nearly doubling his previous career-high – while equaling his career-best win total with a team-most seven victories on the mound. Named to the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list, Hall marked his final outing at Illinois Field with five scoreless frames in a win over Northwestern on May 8. His 77.2 innings pitched also marked a new career-high.
As a sophomore in 2025, Hall went 7-4, which included a 4-0 stretch in the month of April, during which he posted a 1.03 ERA with only three earned runs allowed across 26.2 innings. He turned in a career-high eight innings in a win over Purdue while logging two outings with six strikeouts.
During his debut collegiate campaign, Hall tallied a 3-1 record with two saves while primarily working out of the bullpen.
Hall is the first Illini to sign with an MLB organization as an undrafted free agent this season.
