Illini Fall in Series Opener Against #19 Oregon

RECAP

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini fell to No. 19 Oregon, 16-6, in the series opener at Illinois Field on Friday afternoon.

Illinois hit a season-high five home runs, but it was not enough to defeat the ranked Ducks.

Daniel Contreras, Cole Crafton, Michael Farina, Collin Jennings, and Jack Zebig all posted long balls for the Orange and Blue. Kyle Schupmann secured a multi-hit day, going 2-for-3.
