CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – University of Illinois student season ticket holders will have the opportunity to kick their way to free tickets for the 2026 Fighting Illini football season. Kickin' for Chicken presented by Chick-fil-A will take place at Gies Memorial Stadium on Thursday, May 7, from 4-7 p.m. CT, giving students the chance to kick a 40-yard field goal to secure season tickets for free.
Students who have purchased their 2026 season ticket will get one attempt at the 40-yard field goal. Any kicker who makes the field goal will have the cost of their student season ticket reimbursed.
The first 3,000 kickers — make or miss — will receive a Chick-fil-A 'Be our Guest Card' for a free chicken sandwich or nuggets.
The kicks will take place toward the north goal post on the field at Gies Memorial Stadium. Check-in for students will be in the northwest tunnel of Memorial Stadium beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT.
Students are required to fill out the RSVP here and be a 2026 season ticket holder to participate. University of Illinois i-cards will be required for check-in. Students on a four-year ticket plan are not eligible.
