Fighting Illini Set to Host ITA Midwest Regional Championships

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois Women's Tennis is set to host the 2026 ITA Midwest Regional Championships from Oct. 8-12 at Atkins Tennis Center. All 10 Illini will compete in the event through a combination of singles and doubles play.

The single-elimination tournament is one of four events during Illinois' fall schedule that serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in November.

Action from Atkins Tennis Center will feature a qualifying and main draw for the singles tournament and a main draw for doubles. The Fighting Illini are back in action for their lone home event of the fall campaign. Illinois is hosting the Midwest Regional for the second consecutive season after previously hosting in 2021, when four Illini qualified for Super Regionals.
