CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois women's basketball head coach Shauna Green has pledged to donate 100 tickets to fans affected by cancer ahead of the Fighting Illini's Play4Kay cancer awareness game. Tickets are for Illinois' game against USC on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Since she arrived on campus, Green has emphasized the importance of the local community and supporting the people who support her program. With this donation, Green and the women's basketball program hope to honor cancer survivors and those who are still fighting and welcome them to State Farm Center with open arms. Ticket giveaway recipients will be recognized during the game surrounded by the Illinois famILLy.
Fans who have been impacted by cancer are encouraged to participate by filling out the submission form by Friday, Jan. 30. Tickets will be distributed directly to the recipients Wednesday, Feb. 4.
