GOLF, Ill. - The Fighting Illini are headed upstate to an aptly named city to compete at the Windy City Classic at Glen View Club. The tournament will be held from Monday, Sept. 29, to Tuesday, Sept. 30.
THE SETTING
The Windy City Collegiate Classic is back at the Glen View Club. The Glen View Club course was originally designed in 1897 by the club's first-ever professional member, Richard Leslie. In 1922, the course was redesigned by William S. Flynn, and it maintains many of his original designs to this day. The course is set up for a par 72 and 6,368 yards.Â
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
This 54-hole stroke play event will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Monday begins with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT, and Monday follows the same pattern, with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT.Â
THE FIELD
Along with the Illini, this 14-team field features Northwestern, Arizona State (individuals only), Augusta, Columbia, Duke, Illinois, Iowa State, Michigan State, Purdue, SMU, Stanford (individuals only), UCLA, and Virginia.

ILLINI AT THE WINDY CITY COLLEGIATE CLASSIC
This will be the fifth time the Illini have played at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. Most recently, the Illini finished 14th in 2024. The Orange and Blue's best finish at this event was ninth in 2008. Â
