Altmyer, Davis, Scott to Represent Illinois at Big Ten Media Days

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Senior Fighting Illini football student-athletes Luke Altmyer, J.C. Davis, and Xavier Scott will head to Las Vegas for Big Ten Media Days. The event runs July 22-24, with Illinois' players and head coach Bret Bielema kicking off Media Days on Day 1 (July 22).
QB Luke Altmyer
One of the top returning quarterbacks in college football, Altmyer threw for 2,717 yards and 22 touchdowns and led Illinois to a 10-3 record, tying the program's single-season wins record. The third-year starter leads the nation in career game-winning drives in the final minute/OT with five.
OL J.C. Davis
Illinois' starting left tackle, Davis was an All-Big Ten Third Team selection last season and enters 2025 with 37 consecutive starts. He was named to the AP All-Bowl Team last season after zero pressures allowed in Illinois' win over #14 South Carolina in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.
DB Xavier Scott
Scott was named to the All-Big Ten First Team and was one of 15 defensive backs in the nation on the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Semifinalist list last season. He enters 2025 with 25 career starts, 121 tackles, 24 passes defended, and six interceptions.
