Fighting Illini Fall to Michigan in Regular-Season Finale

RECAP

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois fell to Michigan, 78-69, in its regular-season finale on Sunday afternoon at State Farm Center.

The Fighting Illini led by as many as 10 in the contest, but a 17-0 run from the Wolverines in the fourth quarter saw the visitors pull away late.

Kendall Bostic tied the program's career double-doubles record with her 24-point, 12-rebound performance. Tallying the 53rd double-double of her career, Bostic went 2-for-2 from beyond the arc while also amassing three assists.

Genesis Bryant connected on three 3-pointers, finishing with 15 points, six assists, five rebounds, one block, and one steal.

Adalia McKenzie recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Illinois closes the regular season with a 21-8 record and will begin the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday in Indianapolis.
