CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois softball announced its fall slate on Friday. The Fighting Illini will play eight games at Eichelberger Field before wrapping up the home slate with the Orange and Blue World Series.
The Illini Fall Classic kicks off competition on Sept. 21. The Illini host Danville College and Greenville College for competition. Lakeland College visits on Sept. 26 for a 10-inning affair.
The Orange and Blue Bash commences on Sept. 28, with Illinois Wesleyan and McKendree competing against the Fighting Illini. The Eichelberger Games will follow on Oct. 5, with Illinois facing off against Kankakee and Spoon River.
The annual alumni game takes place on Oct. 6, with the Orange and Blue World Series following on Oct. 9-11. The final fall contest takes place in Columbia, Mo., with the Illini facing Missouri in a 10-inning battle on Oct. 12.
Tyra Perry enters her ninth season at Illinois, boasting a 264-197 record while donning the Orange and Blue.
