CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Illinois soccer announced today the additions of walk-ons Emily Coral and Izzi Wirtz to the 2024 roster.
"The Illini are excited to add these two incredible student-athletes to our 2024 class for the things that they bring both on and off the field," head coach Janet Rayfield said.

RAYFIELD'S TAKE: "Emily will bring a unique perspective and South American flair to our goalkeeping unit and our team as a whole. Â Growing up in Ecuador, where soccer is a way of life, Emily brings a passion and an understanding of the game to the program that will be a great addition on the field as well as bring something new to our team culture. - Two-time all-sectional and three-time all-conference selection.
- Tallied 12 goals and six assists; Was team captain from 2023-24.
- Won the Illinois State Cup with Chicago Inter SC in 2022.
