Fighting Illini outfielder Connor Milton helped power Illinois to a three-game sweep over Northwestern last weekend, going 9-for-12 (.750) with five runs scored, two double, three home runs and eight RBI while posting a .750 on-base percentage and slugging an incredible 1.667.
The Champaign native started the week by going 2-for-3 with an RBI on Friday before having a career day on Saturday. Milton went 4-for-4 with three runs, a double, two home runs and four RBI. He set career-high marks in hits, runs, home runs, RBI and total bases (11) in the contest. In Sunday's series finale, Milton then went 3-for-5 with two runs, a double, a home run and three RBI. It marked the first time in his career that he had homered in consecutive games and his three-game hitting streak matches a career-long. Milton also has three-straight multi-hit performances, which is a career-long.
Milton is a senior studying at Illinois with a 3.56 GPA in recreation, sports, & tourism.
