
Stoll Shatters 100 IM School Record Twice in 2023-24 Season Finale

OCALA, Fla./LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Illinois swim and dive programs each completed their final meets of the season on Saturday (March 16). The swim team wrapped up the CSCAA National Invitational Championship (NIC) in Ocala, Fla. while the dive team completed NCAA Diving Zones in Louisville, Ky.
Junior Sydney Stoll snapped the school record in the 100 IM A finals (55.21) where she placed sixth. In the morning prelim window, she swam the second-fastest qualifying time (55.41) which was the school record for a few hours. She led the Illini in individual scoring with 50 points over the weekend.
FROM OCALA
Freshman Kylee Sessions swam the program's third-fastest time in the 100 IM prelims (57.57); she placed 19th in the night's B finals (57.64). Fellow freshman Martina Cibulkova etched her name at eighth in the 100 IM program-record book in her 59.02 time trial.
Sophomore Adelaide Reaser registered two top-10 program times in the mile race tonight. Her 1650 freestyle time ranks third in program history (16:43.10) and her split at the 1000 mark is seventh all-time (10:06.51).
Her teammate, junior Paloma Canos Cervera, mirrored the results recording two top-10 program times. Her 1650 freestyle time of 16:46.22 is fifth-fastest in school history and her 10:09.99 1000 split is 10th all-time.
Sophomore Sara Jass placed sixth in the 200 breaststroke A finals (2:13.87) which dropped 0.53 seconds off her prelim time (2:14.40).
The 400 freestyle relay team of Stoll, senior Laurel Bludgen, junior Logan Kuehne and Sessions finished the season out with a 14th-place finish (3:23.21).
