Opening Tips
- Illinois hosts the second contest of a three-game, season-opening homestand on Friday Night, welcoming SIUE to State Farm Center (7 p.m. CT/Peacock).

- The first matchup in the series was a 104-68 victory for Lou Henson's 16th-ranked Illini on Jan. 3, 1981. The Orange and Blue, ranked No. 23 nationally under Bruce Weber, opened the 2009-10 season with a 96-69 victory over SIUE, Nov. 13, 2009.
