Illinois is coming off a historic 2023-24 campaign during which the Illini won the inaugural Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament, marking the program's first-ever postseason championship. The Orange and Blue went 12-5 at home last season, including an 86-66 victory over No. 14/12 Indiana.
In head coach Shauna Green's first two years in Champaign, the Illini have totaled 41 wins, the most by a coach in their first two seasons in program history, and made back-to-back postseason appearances.
