Fighting Illini Volleyball Match Day Parking Updates Announced

News

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With the 2023 Fighting Illini volleyball season just around the corner, match day parking updates are now available to catch head coach Chris Tamas' squad in action from Huff Hall.

Fans can park at the Bielfeldt Athletic Administration building and utilize a complimentary shuttle with a continuous loop from Bielfeldt to Huff Hall. The shuttle will drop off patrons at the west entrance of Huff Hall (the circle drive). Shuttle rides will begin 90 minutes prior to the first serve and continue until one hour following the completion of the match. Additionally, the DIA has partnered with DRES (Disability Resources and Educational Services) to provide fans with accessibility needs a shuttle. This shuttle will be on site at Bielfeldt for fans and provide continuous loops to the Khan Annex of Huff Hall located on the north side of the building off Gregory Street.

Parking in the State Farm Center northeast quadrant will continue to be free for fans on non-event dates for SFC. Metered parking on the streets surrounding Huff Hall is an option for match attendees. Patrons utilizing metered parking should be cognizant of the different time and price enforcements.

Additionally, Lot E18 (Art & Design Building) and Lot E2 (Education Building) are free parking options on the weekends and beginning at 5pm CT, Monday through Friday.

Due to the construction of the Gies College of Business' new Steve S. Wymer Hall, the lot formerly used for Huff Hall parking (Lot E12) is no longer available to fans or workers. To address this displacement, Parking Services construction is underway for a new parking structure at Lot E15 located at the corner of Fourth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. This option will be enforced Monday through Saturday, with free parking on Sundays. Meter parking will begin at 5 p.m. on days it is monitored. This option is available for $1.25 an hour through the Mobile Meter mobile app.
