AUSTIN, Texas – Juniors Aiden Ouimet and Robert Williams completed the first day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, June 7.
Ouimet finished the first half of his decathlon and currently sits in 20th place with 3,807 points. He gathered 837 points from his 15th place finish in the 400m (49.51). His next highest point event was the first one, the 100m dash where he earned 819 on a time of 11.19.
Williams ran a 51.07 in the 400 meter hurdles semi-finals and placed 19th overall. This concludes a season full of improvement for Williams. Highlighted by marking himself eighth on the 400mH school leaderboard when he ran a 50.35 at the NCAA West Preliminaries. He also set a new personal-best in the 110mH at the Fighting Illini Challenge (14.50).
