Illinois Wins Paciolan Star of the Year Award

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – The University of Illinois Ticket Office and Revenue Campaign Department was named the Paciloan Star of the Year at PACnet '23 this week during the annual convention of Paciolan clients in Huntington Beach, California.

Illinois won the award over other nominees Southern Mississippi, Kansas and Cincinnati Arts Association for Paciolan's most prestigious award. The Star of the Year Award recognizes outstanding achievement in ticketing, marketing or fundraising among members of Paciolan's vibrant community of clients across the live sports and entertainment industry.

In 2022, the Illinois nomination reported the most online football sales sessions since 2005 with more than 173,000 tickets sold for more than $7 million in ticket revenue. The digital strategy led to a year-over-year increase of 88 percent in online donations received and an increase of 111 percent in revenue. Leads generated via the men's basketball premium seating campaign brought in 187 leads that led to more than $90,000 in new revenue. The digital strategy included incorporating automated emails, custom landing pages, paid social, Google Search, FEVO, text, web, mobile app, Connected TV, and Over the Top content delivery.
