STATE COLLEGE, Pa. --Â Terrence Shannon Jr. recorded a team-high 20 points and three steals in Illinois' 93-81 defeat to Penn State on the road. Five different Illini finished in double figures.
Ty Rodgers finished with a career-high 11 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds off the bench, his fourth straight outing with at least six boards in his last four games. His four offensive rebounds ties his second-most in a conference game this season.
Jayden Epps and Coleman Hawkins each registered 12 points, while Mayer added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Illinois (17-8, 8-6) will take No. 14 Indiana (18-7, 9-5) in Bloomington this weekend, with tipoff set for Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
