CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Following a second consecutive run to the ITA Midwest Regional doubles semifinals, Megan Heuser and Kate Duong are headed for the ITA National Fall Championships looking to continue another dominant fall campaign.
Play from Barnes Tennis Center from San Diego, Calif., will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and will run through Sunday, Nov. 5. Keep up with all of the action through the Cracked Racquets live-stream coverage or through the ITA National Fall Championships Event Page.
Draws and upcoming opponents for the Illini All-American duo will be added as available. The tandem's first action of the event will take place Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. CT when they face Oklahoma's Shcherbinina and Guzman - the No. 4 seed.
The Championships are the grand finale to the fall collegiate tennis season and feature 64 of the nation's top collegiate singles players (32 men and 32 women) and 64 doubles teams (32 men's teams and 32 women's teams). The event is in its sixth year, having replaced the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships beginning in 2017.Â
Last season, Duong and Heuser became the first Illini duo to compete in the ITA National Fall Championships since it replaced the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in 2017 and are now the first to appear in the event in back-to-back seasons.
