- Played in four games, with one start at quarterback, and redshirted the season
- Completed 8-of-17 passes on the season for 125 yards and two touchdowns on the season
- Also had one rushing touchdown on the season
- Made his first career start at quarterback vs. Central Arkansas 9/10/22, finishing 6-of-13 passing for 90 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and one touchdown run

- Father, Chad, was formerly the team orthopedic surgeon for Mississippi State

- Chose Illinois because, "It is a great football program and trajectory, great coaching staff, and the Big Ten was very attractive."
