Illinois closed Big Ten play with a three-game sweep at Penn State. The Illini finished the regular season 31-20 (17-7 B1G) for a three-way tie for second place in the Big Ten standings, the program's best conference mark since 2015.

In Game 1 vs. the Nittany Lions, Illinois scored 18 runs on 18 hits to take the series opener. Comia paced the Illini at the plate, going 4-for-6 with a career-high five RBI, three extra base hits and finishing the game a triple shy of the cycle. He scored a run in Game 2, then closed the weekend with a 2-for-6, three-RBI performance in Game 3.

Comia is majoring in Management and is a native of Orlando Park, Ill.
