ROSEMONT, Ill. – Following a career-best effort in which he established personal-best scores for a single-round and tournament to secure a tie for sixth at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, University of Illinois senior Tommy Kuhl has been selected as the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, the league announced Thursday morning. 

• Collected his eighth career top-10 finish, tying for sixth place with a three-round 207 (-9) to lead the Illini at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational in Augusta, Ga.
• Fired three consecutive below-par rounds (71, 65, 71) to finish more than four full strokes below the course average of 73.30 for the week, highlighted by 14 birdies
• Recorded 46 of 54 holes at or below par on the weekend en route to his career-best 54-hole score.
• His second-round score of 65 marked a personal best by three strokes.

It marks the first-career Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor for Kuhl, a two-time Academic All-Big Ten performer.
