CHAMPAIGN, Ill.– Illinois Athletics has partnered with Artsman Sports to create collections of distinctive items made from Lou Henson Court at State Farm Center, on which the Fighting Illini Men's Basketball team clinched the 2022 Big Ten Championship. Fans can order any of the limited-edition items beginning today at artsmansport.com or fightingillini.com/courtcollectibles.
The Fighting Illini defeated Iowa at State Farm Center on March 6, 2022 to clinch the program's first Big Ten regular season title in 17 years. That was the last game where this particular court was used in game action, as it was already scheduled for replacement. Portions of the court were saved in order to create collectibles to offer fans.
The collection ranges from pendants and cufflinks to useful items like bottle openers, paperweights and desk trophies, to more decorative desk and wall frames. Each piece is hand crafted from game-used portions of the court, so no two items are alike. Many pieces also come in a decorative box featuring Illinois logos and colors. All items are officially licensed by the University of Illinois and certain items featuring Big Ten® Championship designation are also licensed by the Conference.
I FUND members have access to an exclusive collection of items made from the center court Block I. Members received a 4-digit code via email to unlock this opportunity.
With limited quantities of each item offered based on how much court was available to use, fans are encouraged to order their preferred items early.
