CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois women's tennis has concluded its split weekend of competition that featured action at the Alabama Five-In-The-Fall event and the ITA Women's All-American Championships. The Orange and Blue saw five student-athletes compete across the two events combining for 10 wins in singles play and two more in doubles.

The trio of Emily Casati, Kida Ferrari and Kasia Treiber competed in Tuscaloosa. Treiber won her singles draw after posting a 3-0 record across weekend play. The Illini faced competition from Alabama, Florida State, South Alabama and UAB.

Over in Cary, N.C., at the ITA Women's All-American Championships, Ashley Yeah and Kate Duong competed in both singles and doubles play. The duo worked around Hurricane Ian, competing inside when necessary at the event. 

Yeah and Duong opened action with singles wins on Saturday in the pre-qualifying round of 128 and did so again on Saturday in the round of 64. Duong added one more win on Saturday in the round of 32 to advance into Monday's qualifying draw where she would ultimately fall to No. 56 Elaine Chervinsky - a nine seed from Virginia.

Doubles action opened on Monday for the duo in the qualifying draw. Duong and Yeah took down a tandem from Texas A&M in the qualifying round of 64 before being eliminated in the next match by a pair from Michigan.
