Hi Illini fans!

My name is Tori McQueen. I am a junior pitcher from Mooresville, Indiana, majoring in Kinesiology. This past week we finished up team practices and we will be transitioning back into 8-hour weeks. We had the privilege of practicing in our beautiful new Rex and Alice A. Martin Softball Training Center last week. We are blessed and excited to have such a nice facility that is going to play a vital role in our training since we no longer have to share the football indoor with other sports. This new facility provides us the opportunity to get in extra work and to improve our skills outside of the normal practice time.

We have had a competitive environment at practice and the newcomers have been pushing not only each other but the team as a whole. They have fit in so well and immediately came in ready to work. I am so excited to see what the future holds for this team. We will continue to work hard, and we can't wait to see y'all in the spring when we show everyone what we are made of!
