CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini women's basketball team's upcoming home game vs. Nebraska scheduled for Sunday at State Farm Center has been postponed, and Illinois will instead travel to face No. 25-ranked Iowa. Tipoff between the Illini and the Hawkeyes is set for 5 p.m. CT and the game will air live on Big Ten Network.
Illinois' original matchup with the Huskers was postponed in accordance with the Big Ten's COVID-19 protocols that also resulted in the postponement of Nebraska's previous game. The Big Ten Conference office will coordinate the rescheduling process. If the game is not able to be rescheduled, it would count as a "no contest" for both teams.
Sunday's game will now serve as the rescheduled date of the season's lone matchup between the Illini and the Hawkeyes. The game was originally slated for Jan. 2 before being moved to Feb. 12 during a previous wave of B1G schedule adjustments.
