URBANA, Ill. – Fighting Illini women's tennis concluded play at the ITA Midwest Regional Sunday morning at Atkins Tennis Center, sending four singles competitors and three doubles teams to ITA Midwest Super Regional in October.

Juniors Ashley Yeah and Josie Frazier, sophomore Kate Duong, and freshman Megan Heuser all qualified to super regionals as a result of making it to the round of 16 in singles yesterday, with Duong automatically qualifying based off rankings. The doubles teams of Heuser/Yeah, Ferari/Treiber, and Duong/Frazier also qualified for super regionals in October, with the latter automatically qualifying based off rankings.

Play on Sunday served as extra matches for the Illini, and saw all three singles competitors (Yeah, Heuser, Frazier) win matches, along with Heuser/Yeah winning their doubles match.

ITA Midwest Super Regionals will be held Oct. 22-26, 2021, and are hosted by The Ohio State University.

DOUBLES QUARTERFINALS: Pratt/McColgan (Northwestern) def. Treiber/Ferrari 8-6

SINGLES ROUND OF 16: Ashley Yeah def. Tijana Zlatanovic (Illinois State) 7-6 (4), 6-3

SINGLES ROUND OF 16: Josie Frazier def. Alexandra Abyasova (Illinois State) 6-4, 6-2

SINGLES ROUND OF 16: Megan Heuser vs. Nicole Stephens (Michigan State) 3-6, 6-3, 6-1
