CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois women's golf team continues its fall season this week as the Illini head to Norman, Okla., for the 2021 Schooner Fall Classic. The two-day tournament will be hosted by Oklahoma on Sunday and Monday, September 26-27.
THE SETTING
The 2021 Schooner Fall Classic will be held at the Belmar Golf Club, with the course set up for a par 70 and will play 6,109 yards long. Belmar Golf Club was opened in 2002 and was designed by gold course architect Tripp Davis. The course winds through beautiful homes, native grasses and several elevation changes, capturing the true beauty of the unspoiled Central Oklahoma farmland.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
There will be 15 teams competing in the 54-hole tournament with 36 holes of continuous play on Sunday (September 26), followed by the final 18 on Monday (September 25). Sunday will feature a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start off hole 1 and hole 10, with an 8:30 a.m. CT start on Monday. Official tee times will be published on Golfstat when finalized.
THE FIELD
Along with the Illini, the 15-team field for the 2021 Schooner Fall Classic will include host Oklahoma, Baylor, Florida State, Iowa State, Houston, Kansas State, North Texas, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas A&M, TCU, Texas State, Tulsa and UTSA.

ILLINI AT THE SCHOONER FALL CLASSIC
Illinois has played in the Schooner Fall Classic once before in program history, tying for fifth during the 2019 edition of the tournament with an 850 (+10) score as former Illini great Tristyn Nowlin earned a share of first place with a 54-hole score of 207 (-3). Current Illini Siyan Chen tied for 20th at 212 (+2), with Crystal Wang tying for 34th at 216 (+6) and Kornkamol Sukaree tying for 48th at 219 (+9).

Live scoring for the 2021 Schooner Fall Classic will be available on Golfstat.com. A Recap and results will be posted on FightingIllini.com following each day of play.
TV/STREAM
Monday's final two holes will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest on Wednesday at 3 p.m. CT. That footage will be live streamed on Monday afternoon HERE.
