CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Illinois baseball team announced Monday they will be playing the University of Illinois Springfield at Illinois Field on September 10 at 4:30 p.m. CT. The game will not count towards the official 56-game spring schedule.

The matchup will be an extended exhibition game that is free and open to the public.
