ANN ARBOR, Mich.- The Illinois Fighting Illini women's tennis team lost to Michigan on Saturday afternoon 4-0. This loss drops Illinois to 1-5 (1-5) on the year and moves Michigan to 7-1 (7-0).

Illinois struggled in doubles, falling on courts one (7-5) and three (6-4) as the Wolverines took the doubles point.

Moving to singles, it was unfortunately more of the same for the Illini. Michigan jumped out and took wins on courts two, four and five to clinch the victory with four points.

Senior Asuka Kawai, senior Emilee Duong and sophomore Josie Frazier had their matches abandoned before they could be completed.

Next Up

The Illini head to East Lansing to take on Michigan State tomorrow. Matches will begin at 10:00 a.m. CT.
