CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — WDWS 1400-AM will once again cover the Illinois baseball team during the 2021 season through an agreement with Learfield. All regular season games plus the postseason will be available online and most will be available live on WDWS, pending conflicts with the Fighting Illini men's and women's basketball teams.

Scott Beatty is in his second season as the primary play-by-play voice of the Illini baseball team. Beatty replaced Dave Loane last year, who retired after 31 seasons. Beatty had covered Illinois' nonconference road trips for the prior three seasons.

The Illini baseball home opener is Friday, March 26 against Northwestern. Illinois will open the 2021 season against Ohio State this Friday, March 5 in Greenville, S.C. at Fluor Field.

In addition to radio coverage, all Illinois home games will be covered by an online video stream or Big Ten Network, coverage subject to change. The Big Ten's television schedule will be announced at a later date.
