Dosunmu and Cockburn Awards | USBWA Story

Illinois junior Ayo Dosunmu earned first-team U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-America honors, while sophomore Kofi Cockburn earned second-team USBWA All-America accolades. Dosunmu also has been named one of three finalists for the Oscar Robertson Trophy, awarded by the USBWA to the College Player of the Year.

Dosunmu and Cockburn are the first Illini to achieve USBWA All-America status since Dee Brown in 2006.

2021 marks the first year the Fighting Illini have multiple USBWA All-Americans since 2005, with Dee Brown (first team) and Luther Head (second team) recognized.
