Champaign, Ill. - Fighting Illini men's tennis soundly beat Wisconsin 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon. Illinois went 2-1 in doubles play, winning on courts one and three. Siphs Montsi and Kweisi Kenyatte won the first match 6-1 followed by Alex Bancila and Aleks Kovacevic who won 6-4.
In singles plays Illinois Kenyatte picked up the first win, defeating Wisconsin's Mihailo Popovic 6-1, 6-2. Kovacevic followed, defeating Gabriel Huber 6-2, 6-2. Monsti secured the victory for the Illini defeating Robin Parts 6-2, 6-4.Â
The Orange and Blue picked up two more singles wins from Zeke Clark and freshman Hunter Heck. Clark defeated Jared Pratt 6-2, 6-4 and Heck came back after losing the first set to defeat Tim Dzhurinskiy 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.
