Champaign, Ill - The No. 6 Fighting Illini host a pair of Big Ten opponents this weekend. On Friday they welcome the Nittany Lions to Atkins Tennis Center at 6 pm CT. 

On Sunday, Ohio State comes to town. Ranked No. 9, the Buckeyes will be Illinois' ranked opponent in the Big Ten. The match is schedule for Sunday at 12 pm CT.

Both matches will be available to stream through FightinIllini.com.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION 

Penn State (0-0): Illinois looks to continue their win streak against Penn State, they have won four straight and are 11-1 when facing them at home...The Nittany lions have not played in a match yet this season... During the shortened 2020 season they went 7-6.

No. 9 Ohio State (3-1): Illinois is 57-41-1 all-time and is looking to break a six-match losing streak to OSU...The Buckeyes are ranked No. 9 in this weeks ITA Coaches Poll...Ohio State swept Michigan State last weekend to start 2-0 in Big Ten play... Their season started at ITA Kick-Off Weekend where they went 1-1...They beat MTSU before losing to Virginia in the second round. 

LAST TIME OUT 

Illinois pulled off two upsets during the ITA Indoor Championships in Champaign last weekend. On Friday they defeated No. 1 USC 4-1. Zeke Clark scored the deuce point to secure Illinois' win, earning him Big Ten Athlete of the Week honors.

On Saturday, Illinois fell to No. 4 Baylor.

The Illini finished the weekend with a second upset. They battled back to beat No. 7 Virginia after losing the doubles point and being down 3-1. Senior Zeke Clark again, scored the deuce point in the match. Siphos Montsi's comeback victory over Inaki Montes  3-6, 6-4, 7-5 made Clarks clinch possible
