Hey Illini Fans! 

My name is Breana Shorter and I am a freshman from Davenport, Iowa. I am currently undecided but leaning more towards majoring in Kinesiology. Being a freshman during the pandemic has been challenging but I'm very grateful for the coaching staff and team that has helped me get through it each and every day. I am so proud of this team and how we have handled the COVID situation. Through this week we finally received our schedule for the spring which was very exciting to finally receive. I can't wait to get out and finally play. During practice we really focus on challenging each other each and every day and this past weekend we just finished scrimmaging. Our team loves to compete and these games are a great opportunity for us to do that. These scrimmages bring out the best competitor in us and makes us better each and every day. These games really help us get ready for the competition mindset and ready for anything that comes our way. We are very excited and can't wait to kick off the season in Florida. I can't wait to see what this seasons holds for us!
