CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois men's tennis announced the 2020-21 schedule on Friday. Illinois will compete in 16 meets over nine weeks (nine home and seven away).
The Illini officially kick-off their season when they host the ITA Indoor Team Championships Feb. 12-14. They start the Big Ten-only portion of the schedule by hosting Penn State and Ohio State the weekend of Feb. 19. Illinois finishes out February traveling to face Wisconsin and Minnesota on Feb. 26 and 28.
Illinois will be home the weekend of March 5 to take on Iowa and Nebraska before welcoming Northwestern to Atkins Tennis Center on March 13. Next, they travel to take on Indiana and Purdue March 19 and March 21. They get two weekends at home, playing Michigan and Michigan State on March 26-28 before going against Wisconsin and Minnesota a second time the weekend of April 2.
The Orange and Blue finish out the regular season with three away matches, first traveling to face Iowa and Nebraska on April 9-11 and playing at Northwestern on April 18.
At this time, no fans will be permitted at home matches due to COVID-19 restrictions.
