Hi Illini Softball Friends, Family, and Fans!

My name is Kylie Cleveland. I am a freshman outfielder from Columbia IL, majoring in molecular and cellular biology.

As the Illini softball program begins training for the upcoming season, we are training harder than ever before, preparing for what will be an extremely exciting and successful season. With hard work comes great success, and we expect nothing less than to compete at the highest level when the time comes. Every day we get stronger, faster, and more confident in our abilities. Through focused, efficient practice, we can simply play the game we love with complete freedom.

In addition to entering the off season and eight hour weeks, our focus allows for fun throughout practices as well. Last week the Illini softball team had a Halloween dress-up Lift, where the team showed off their awesome costumes. No matter what it is we are doing, this team knows how to balance having fun and getting work done. Being a member of the Illini softball program is such a privilege and I can't wait to see what is in store for the 2022 season. Our competitive edge, nonstop hustle, and undeniable desire to win is what will take this program to the next level. Come watch all of our hard work unfold at Eichelberger Field this spring. We can't wait to see you there!
