Hello Illini Family! 

My name is Danielle Davis and I am a junior outfielder for the Illinois softball team from the suburbs of Houston, Texas.  I am a kinesiology major with aspirations in pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  As we all know, 2020 has been a very trying and unsettling year for our entire world.  There have been many hardships to include, racial and civil unrest, medical emergencies brought on by the COVID-19 global pandemic and just an overall sense of uncertainty in all aspects of life.  Despite all of these challenges, the Illini softball team opened up our season on January 11, 2021. It was a very exciting day because I saw all my amazing teammates and coaches in person and not via Zoom! I expect great things from this team, as we are all determined to embrace our new normal. In the upcoming weeks, I encourage everybody to come out or watch from home, an exciting and awesome Illini softball season.
